The Halfway Tree

Favorite track: Precious Things.

Coldest Day of the Year (lyrics by Sienna Dahlen) A winter wind is blowing It chills me to the bone The icicles are forming A fortress 'round this home My heart is numb The coldest day of the year Can't find the sun It froze and disappeared My body aches The coldest day of the year Our love, at stake Do you fear what I fear? Snowstorm in July Buried us alive We fought to survive Searching for some light Snowstorm in July Took us by surprise Left us blue and blind Naked, paralyzed
3.
Alerces 05:05
Alerces (lyrics by Sienna Dahlen) I have read of your history You have seen it all Three thousand years of memories Permeate your walls Your skin speaks of resistance You’ve a weathered tone We have grown through your presence Planted seeds of hope Facing inward inside of myself Is this shadow my shelter? Here your autumn replaces my spring I long for the flowers Your constellations speak foreign tongues I am lost in translation Alerces, Alerces, Alerces Speak to me of patience In your wind I hear memory Many long goodbyes In your sun I hear brilliance Dancing on the tides In your rain I hear chanting Mourning those who’ve died In your snow I hear silence Falling out of time Facing inward outside of myself Is this shadow my shelter? Here your autumn replaces my spring I long for the flowers Your constellations speak foreign tongues I am lost in translation Alerces, Alerces, Alerces Sing to me of patience
4.
Precious Things (lyrics by Karl Jannuska) Grey skies tarnish me with Acid rain War-torn tv screens Life is vain Crowded shopping malls Make me scream Whiskey, Lexomil Help me dream, of Precious Things Money brings Savage daily grind Earn my keep Bloodshot, bleary eyes are What I reap Happiness What is this ? Help me see, through Misery Old man’s weary eyes Look at me Through the Sunday news On his knee Tender words, I Seldom heard Busy ears Missed my tears Wrinkled smile beams Radiant warmth Eyes cry innocence Hope is born Precious Things That I bring, are Words of gold Fondly told
5.
Smokescreen 05:07
Smokescreen (lyrics by Karl Jannuska) Calm facade is but a smokescreen I see through it Panic buttons line your being Can’t control it Ahhhhhhhh Nonchalence is but a smokescreen It’s translucent Raise your army fight your demons Kill the nuisance Ahhhhhhh
6.
Million Miles Away (lyrics by Karl Jannuska) Your body's in the human race While your mind's in outer space Your vacant stare gives you away You're a million miles away Your thoughts have left the stratosphere Parting smile so insincere You do not hear a word I say You're a million miles away Your effervescent mind has gone To a place where you belong Where dreamers dream both night and day It's a million miles away
7.
Firloupe 02:55
Firloupe (lyrics by Karl Jannuska) Strings of goodness Wonderful things Endless firloupe How my heart sings Tasty strands are Mind-bending Tangled web is Hunger-mending Brings smiles to a Winter shindig Goes down with wine Or a soft drink Gaining control Takes some patience Firloupe is a Taste-sensation
8.
One Droning Pedal Tone (lyrics by Sienna Dahlen) One droning pedal tone Could change the course of your life Sing you back the breath you need Teach your weary eyes to see Springtime innocence Pure, eternal bliss Growth though nothingness Love that you may have missed One droning pedal tone Seeking a place to call home Nestles in your consciousness Cleans your soul of bitterness Perfect harmony Synchronicity Radiant frequency One droning pedal tone
9.
Lilac by Night (lyrics by Sienna Dahlen) Have you smelled the essence of Lilac by night She will leave you drunk with love Lilac by night Born out of a spring fever Lilac by night Bearing stamen and stigma Lilac by night Her leaves are heart-shaped Lilac by night Her blooms undulate Lilac by night Nocturnal empress Lilac by night Perennial goddess Lilac by night
10.
Noble Energy 02:10
Noble Energy (lyrics by Karl Jannuska) I have a noble energy That picks me up and carries me It’s better than a battery It’s shelf-life lasts eternally I feel its winding synergy That gives us binding symmetry It’s solar, wind and hydro too And leaves no toxic residue No global warming fossil fuels With rest its energy renews I feel its winding synergy That gives us binding symmetry Clean energy Green energy
11.
Four-leaf Clover (lyrics by Sienna Dahlen) Last night I Grazed the sky Crossed the earth Arms spread wide Fields of green Filled with dreams Ocean's hue Marine blue Desert land Sand dune tan Fields of Luck Hope Faith Love Call my name Light my way Solar winds chime Soaring through time Like a firefly Faster than light Make a wish St. Patrick Four-leafed bliss Life's a gift Four-leafed clover etc.
